The VICA Singers Group is a relaxed and welcoming gathering for anyone who enjoys singing, regardless of experience or background. Meeting every Monday evening from 20:30 to approx 22:30 at Sankofa Cultural Centre, the group comes together to share songs in a friendly and informal setting. The focus is on participation, enjoyment, and connection rather than performance, creating an inclusive space where everyone feels comfortable joining in.

The repertoire draws on Irish and English traditional songs as well as folk music from Valencia and further afield, reflecting the group’s diverse mix of participants. Singers from the local Patraix area regularly attend, alongside occasional visitors to Sankofa. Sessions often include well-known ballads, contemporary favourites, and songs introduced by members, ensuring that each evening has its own distinctive character. The group has also occasionally shared its music more widely, for example through informal recitals and community events in Valencia.
